What is a good indie/rock/acoustic love song for my unity candle ceremony during my wedding?
I'm having a hard time finding the perfect song for my unity candle lighting ceremony. I'm going to be having a friend play the acoustic guitar and one of the groomsmen is going to sing. I like more alternative rock indie music and would like to have that reflected in our ceremony. Any ideas?
What exactly do you do with unity candles? And can you use them in an outdoor ceremony?
My mother gave me the unity candles used in her and my father's wedding 30 years ago. My fiance and I are getting married outdoors with a non religious ceremony and I was thinking maybe it would be nice to use them in our wedding. What do you do with them? Can you use them outdoors? And is it a religious thing our ceremony is not going to be religious.

the colors of my wedding are white and red, i would like for the two smaller candles to be white and then the middle one to be red, but i cant find any sets like this or a website that even has a red unity candle, i think the color change makes it more symbolic and have my heart set on this please help me find what im looking for, i am not apposed to making my own candle i just dont know how
Future mother-in-law mad I don't want unity candle in wedding service. Can't she back off?
FMIL suggested that FH and I have a unity candle in the wedding ceremony. I said no, because like all her other wedding ideas, it s corny. FH doesn t want it either and my mom thinks as I do, that the whole idea is hokey. Today FMIL has sent me 2 emails already, telling me a unity candle is a must. Newsflash no, it s not. Should I get FH to tell her no again, since she won t listen to me?

Unity Candle Question?
The venue we are having our ceremony at doesn't allow open flames. All candles must be in hurricane vases or votives. They did say that if we wanted to do the Unity Candle, we could take the candles out just for the lighting. How would we go about doing that? We'd really like to have the traditional long tapered candles. It's also important to me to have our mothers light the candles for us.One thing I was thinking... when it comes time for the Unity Candle, could each mom come up and light the long candles at THAT time? Instead of at the beginning of the ceremony? Then we could light the Unity Candle I don't mind that being in a votive or anything and then blow our candles out.I'm just not sure how we'd grab our two candles if they're in a vase or something.Gah, am I making sense? ...
