How do you get wax off of a candle holder?
I have these black pillar looking candle holders that wax has dripped down on to, and I want to get all the wax off so I can use them for decor because they are pretty, how do i get all of it off?

Clay pot candle holders?
My grandmother passed away and left everything to me. Right now I have about 500 clay terra cotta flower pots. The smaller ones I am hoping to turn into candles or candle holders for tealight sized candles. I read online that terra cotta clay pots are porous and must be coated with mod podge or a similar substance on the inside to prevent the pot from absorbing the wax and becoming a fire hazard. I can not buy mod podge within a 100 mile radius of me so I make my own mod podge substance with 3 parts white glue and 1 part water. My question is will my home made batch give the same effect as the name brand stuff? I do not want any liability issues if I decide to sell some of these.I have only been able to find on one website that this coating is even necessary. Has anyone ever done this and can you tell me if the interior coating is even needed? Or if there is a cheaper coating material that I can use?
I am planning in giving shot glasses/votive candle holder(with a candle) as a favor. What else should I give?
All my guests are coming from out of town, so I went to give them something good. I am at a guest list of 150, so I was thinking of getting those personalize votive candle holders shot glasses and putting them on every other seat. They have like our names and wedding date. I want something else with our names on it, so what else should I give as a wedding favor?

So I ran into my pastor today, a family friend for a long time and he presented me with 3 little candle holders. I didnt notice at first, but now that I have been looking at them, I cant help but notice they are a little odd. Is it okay to use a glass candle holder as a water dish for a pet?
I believe I've read warnings not to use the container for anything else besides candles in the past, but I don't know if that's because the wicks contain lead, the glass itself contains lead, or because the glass becomes weakened by the constant heating and cooling from lighting and extinguishing the flames, therefore may shatter easily. My bf's family has a clean candle holder it once contained a scented candle that they use for the family's bunny's water. I was just a little worried about the bunny's health as I don't want poor bun buns to get lead poisoning I couldn't find anything on google concerning this subject. Thanks in advance
Can glade candle holder be recycled for use as cups?
I have a couple candle holders that I was about to toss out but then it occured to me they are shaped like glasses perfect for general use or for mixed drinks. Would it be safe to boil them in water to get the wax out and then wash them in a dish washer? I would prefer not to create waste if I have to.Should read " can a" , I didn't proofread for grammar.
