Where can I find beeswax candles in Nashville?
I'm looking for a pair of red taper candles dinner candles for the holiday season example here beehivecandles.com beeswax colored taper candles.html . After having a bad experience with paraffin candles, I've crossed them off my list. So far, the only beeswax candles I've found at all were a couple pairs of rolled candles at TJ Maxx HomeGoods not what I'm looking for . I've looked at several online retailers that sell tapers for around $8 pair 12 inch length , so I'd rather not spend much more than that. I also found a website for a store in Franklin, Kandle Kitchen, which has soy beeswax mix tapers for $8.95 for a single candle 12in. , which is a bit more than I was looking to spend and it's not 100% beeswax .

Beeswax candles generating negative ions?
Previously, someone had posted the idea that beeswax candles are unique among candles in that they generate negative ions. In fact you can find this claim all over the web, which is itself meaningless unless it is actually backed up by peer reviewed studies. Unfortunately, many of the less scientifically inclined just read the alternative health websites and immediately believe what they read without doing the research when I say research, I mean going to scientific sources to find information . So my question is a 3 parter directed towards believers in this claim 1 Can you provide a citation or link to a peer reviewed study I can examine? I've read that a Japanese study was done, but nobody seems to know the details about it. The Japanese are in the middle of a negative ion popularity craze right now themselves. 2 Can you explain the supposed generation of negative ions in context with the Law of Conservation of Charge? For those unfamiliar, a chemical reaction must conserve charge, or in other words, the generation of negative ions always will be equal to the generation of positive ions. No net production of negative ions. The burning of beeswax is a chemical reaction. 3 If you can't answer 1 and 2 , then why do you believe?Everyone is welcome to answer. If I can examine the peer reviewed study and it looks reasonable, and if I can understand how this supposed negative ion generation fits in with the Law of Conservation of Charge, I'll be willing to reconsider my position. Thanks, Nice Guy. I too found that the FBI didn't actually say what the claimant insisted they said about the cattle mutilations. People should be more careful. Thanks Minerva for admitting that there's nothing scientific behind the negative ion claim for beeswax candles. Is this then a retraction of your previous claim e.g., " science fact" ?Soot or allergies never were at issue, so it's perplexing why you bring that up, especially as it has no relevance to the negative ion claim. Perhaps a smokescreen? No pun intended Are you still claiming that the FBI is supporting the " laser precision" cuts regarding cattle mutilation? Yes or no? You're being awfully evasive here. The FBI actually seemed to conclude that predation and some human activity was likely. Will you point to the location in which document which support your contention?Minerva, again I'm asking you to point to the location in the document where the FBI investigator confirms your original claim that the cuts were done with " laser precision" . I looked through all 5 documents and did not see this. This is a simple question, I don't understanding your evasiveness. You are also prevaricating in your claim that soot formation is inhibited by negative ion generation. If you are not, you surely can back up your claim with a scientific reference. Also, " common knowledge" is another name for folklore. Not scientific.
